Julie Testman, Pharm.D., a native of Summersville West Virginia, joined the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy faculty in July as Assistant Professor in Ambulatory Care. Dr. Testman completed a pharmacy practice residency this June at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center located in Clarksburg. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at West Virginia University, where she graduated with distinction in May 2005. Dr. Testman has participated in evaluating pharmacy care programs, in regards to implementation feasibility, outcome benefits and healthcare impact. She will establish her ambulatory care pharmacy practice with physicians and providers at two of the Family Care Health Clinics in the local area. Her areas of interest include geriatrics, diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Dr. Testman plans to advance pharmacy education and clinical practice in West Virginia through disease management collaborations, programs and health outcome assessments.
