Ronaldo, a native of Montgomery West Virginia, received a BA degree in Biology from West Virginia University in 1992. In 1994, he accepted a position with the WV Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Public Health’s Office of Laboratory Services’ Microbiology Department as a microbiologist. As a technician in this department, Ronaldo worked in the field of Microbiology as it pertained to public health.
In 2005, Ronaldo received his Master of Public Health degree from West Virginia University. He also became the supervisor of the Microbiology department of the Office of Laboratory Services; which included the units of General Microbiology, Food borne outbreaks, Parasitology, Enteric Bacteriology, Mycology, TB, Rabies and Virology (respiratory viruses). Ronaldo later accepted a position with the University of Charleston’s School of Pharmacy as a laboratory instructor; a position that involves the management of the laboratories, assisting in the instruction of students and aiding and performing research for principal investigators at UC School of Pharmacy. |
