Susie Aboulhosn, a Princeton West Virginia native, joined the School of Pharmacy faculty in July 2007. Dr. Aboulhosn obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, after completing a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the WVU Hospitals in Morgantown, WV. Her pharmacy education process began with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. For the last 10 years, Dr. Aboulhosn served as Clinical Manager for the Department of Pharmacy Services at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. She pioneered and advanced clinical pharmacy services within this community hospital setting. Her areas of interests focused on infectious disease and clinical nutrition; and her practice included internal medicine and clinical administration. Dr. Aboulhosn also played a role in the implementation of several advanced medication technologies, including the implementation and coordination of robot dispensing, automated dispensing cabinets, electronic medication administration record (e-MAR), and scanning technology for medication processing and administration. Dr. Aboulhosn brings internal medicine patient care skills and in-patient service development experience to the School of Pharmacy. In addition to her didactic responsibilities, Dr. Aboulhosn will develop an institutional-based patient care practice.
